Who holds your data
Akada is run by Ali Abid. Anything in this policy, and any request about your data, reaches a person at ali.abid44444@gmail.com.
What is stored
Only what the planner needs to be a planner:
- Your email address and password. The password is hashed by Supabase and is never seen by Akada.
- Your display name and, if you upload one, an avatar.
- Your courses, including the code, title, section, instructor and meeting time you picked from the catalog.
- Your tasks, their due dates and whether they are done.
- Your study sessions: date, duration and any note you wrote on one.
- Your semester dates and your weekly and daily goals.
- The marks you record and how each course is graded, the things you keep for recall and how each recall went, your notes, and your quizzes with their answers and marks.
Your hosting and database providers also keep ordinary server logs, which include your IP address and browser. If the app crashes, it sends the error and the page it happened on to its own log so the fault can be found. None of that is used to profile you and none of it is sold.
Why it is stored
The planner content and your account exist because you asked for a planner: without them there is no service to provide. Crash logs and server logs exist so the app can be kept working and abuse can be stopped. There is no advertising, no tracking across other sites, and no analytics product of any kind.
Cookies and local storage
Akada sets a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, and it keeps your appearance settings and any timer you have running on your own device. That is all. Because every one of those is either the sign-in itself or a setting you chose, none of it needs a consent banner, and you will not see one.
No third-party scripts run on the site. Fonts are served from Akada’s own domain, not fetched from anyone else.
Who else touches it
Two companies process data on Akada’s behalf: Supabase, which holds the database and runs sign-in, and Vercel, which hosts the site. Both keep server logs. Neither uses your data for anything of their own. Nobody else receives it, unless you connect an assistant yourself, as below.
If you connect Claude or another assistant
Akada can be connected to an AI assistant such as Claude, so the assistant can read and write your planner for you. Nothing is shared until you connect one, and it happens only with the assistant you connected, through your own sign-in.
- What the assistant can see and do. Everything in your planner: courses, tasks, study sessions, marks, recall, notes and quizzes. It can add, change and delete them. It never sees your password or anyone else's planner, and it cannot delete your account. The full list of what it can do is on the connector page.
- What goes to the assistant's company. Whatever a tool returns in answer to a request is sent to the assistant, so it becomes part of your conversation there. From then on it is handled by that company under its own privacy policy (for Claude, Anthropic's), not by Akada.
- What Akada receives. Only the requests the assistant makes of Akada, such as “add these tasks”, and what they write. Akada never sees the rest of your conversation.
- What is stored for the connection. Connecting starts a sign-in of its own with Supabase, the same kind your browser has. The assistant holds an encrypted, expiring key to it. Akada keeps no copy of that key, and uses it for nothing except answering that assistant's requests.
- How long it lasts. Each key works for at most an hour and is renewed while the assistant keeps using it. Left unused for thirty days, the connection ends. Removing the connector in the assistant ends it at once, and so does deleting your Akada account. If a request fails, the error is written to Akada's server log so it can be fixed, and ages out with the rest of that log.
How long it is kept
For as long as your account exists. Delete the account and the courses, tasks, sessions, semesters, marks, recall, notes, quizzes and settings are deleted along with it, immediately and by the database itself, and any connected assistant loses its access. Server and crash logs age out on the providers’ own schedules, within weeks.
What you can do
- See it: everything Akada holds about you is on the screen when you are signed in.
- Take it: Settings exports your study sessions as a CSV.
- Correct it: every field is editable in the app.
- Delete it: Settings has both “Reset data”, which empties the planner and keeps the account, and “Delete account”, which removes the account and everything attached to it.
If you would rather someone did any of that for you, or you want to object to how something is handled, write to ali.abid44444@gmail.com and it will be done.
Age
Akada is for university students. Do not create an account if you are under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, the date at the top changes with it.
